FORMULAÇÃO À BASE DE GEL PARA TRATAR OU PREVENIR INFECÇÃO DO TRATO URINÁRIO, COMPOSIÇÃO, MÉTODOS PARA TRATAMENTO OU PROFILAXIA E PARA TRATAR OU PREVENIR UMA INFECÇÃO DO TRATO URINÁRIO, CATETER URINÁRIO OUDISPOSITIVO DE DEMORA, E, FORMULAÇÃO À BASE DE GELEsta invenção refere-se ao tratamento e prevenção de infecções do trato urinário. O monolaurato de glicerol (GML) e/ou as composições relacionadas com o GML juntamente com os aceleradoresadequados na formulação à base de gel podem ser usados para tratar infecções do trato urinário que podem ser, de modo geral, diagnosticadas, por exemplo, em mulheres, pacientes cateterizados e indivíduos idosos. Uma tal formulação à base de gel mata ou inibe o crescimento de, um ou mais microorganismos patogênicos que causam infecções do trato urinário.
