Abstract

É fornecido um método para melhorar a mobilidade de óleo cru pesado em um reservatório subterrâneo. Uma formulação de fluido pode ser introduzida no reservatório, a formulação de fluido compreendendo água e um surfactante e cossolventes opcionais. A formulação de fluido pode produzir uma ou mais de uma dispersão e uma emulsão no reservatório, pelo que o surfactante age como um agente dispersante ou emulsionante, agente emulsionante e/ou redutor de arrasto. A emulsão ou a dispersão podem ter uma fase externa de água e uma fase interna de óleo cru.
