A presente invenção se refere aos compostos, de acordo com a Fórmula geral (I), que são análogos metabolicamente robustos de mediadores de lipídeos bioativos derivados a partir de ácidos graxos poliinsaturados ômega-3 (PUFAs n-3). A presente invenção ainda se refere às composições contendo uma ou mais destes compostos e à utilização destes compostos ou composições para o tratamento ou prevenção de doenças cardiovasculares.
