Abstract
São reveladas baterias de armazenamento elétrico e métodos para fabricar baterias de armazenamento elétrico. Os eletrodos (122) das baterias compreendem, cada um, um núcleo oco (124) de material eletricamente condutor que é embainhado em chumbo para proteger o núcleo de corrosão pelo ácido de bateria. O material positivo eletroquimicamente ativo ou o material negativo eletroquimicamente ativo (116) é fundido no núcleo. O núcleo oco permite que fluido, gás ou líquido sejam alimentados através do núcleo para impedir aumentos excessivos na temperatura da bateria durante carregamento e descarregamento.
