Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se ao pó de quartzo altamente purificado (100), tendo um nível baixo de lítio de ocorrência natural, modificado para revestimento de um cabo de fibra ótica, o dito pó de quartzo modificado tendo uma quantidade total aumentado de lítio, na solução de sólido no dito pó, a dita quantidade total aumentada sendo na faixa de mais de 0,50 ppm e menos de 1,00 ppm, e um método de modificar um pó de quartzo altamente purificado (10) para fazer o mesmo.
