Abstract
Um aparelho e método de atordoamento de ave, o aparelho incluindo um módulo de controle elétrico configurado para aplicar uma corrente DC à ave à uma voltagem suficiente para atordoar a ave e aplicar uma corrente AC à ave atordoada à uma voltagem e por um período de tempo suficiente para imobilizar e relaxar os músculos da ave atordoada, enquanto ao mesmo tempo evitando e minimizando o dano do tecido da ave. No método, a corrente/voltagem DC é aplicada para atordoamento inicial, seguida por uma corrente/voltagem AC para imobilizar a ave e ainda relaxar os músculos da ave atordoada, de modo que a ave não exiba involuntários movimentos, enquanto ao mesmo tempo evitando e minimizando o tecido da ave.
