Abstract
A invenção fornece métodos para modular a imunidade mediada pela hipóxia do tumor através da administração de um polipeptídeo transportador de O2 (por exemplo, uma proteína H-NOX). Os métodos da invenção visam tanto as vias do fator induzível por hipóxia 1 alfa (HIF-1a) como as vias de imunidade não-HIF 1a do tumor. Tais métodos são úteis no tratamento de uma ampla variedade de cânceres e pode ser usado sozinho ou em combinação com outras terapias anticâncer.
