Abstract
MATERIAL SUPLEMENTAR PARA USO NA ALIMENTAÃÃO DE DOMÃSTICOS. A presente invenção se refere a um método de produzir de forma sustentável um produto alimentar para animais domésticos ou produto, o referido método compreendendo a etapa de formular um produto alimentar para animais domésticos, substituindo todo ou parte do óleo de peixe na composição com uma única fonte microbiana de ácido eicosapentaenóico ("EPA") e ácido docosa-hexaenóico ("DHA"). Em uma modalidade preferida, a fonte microbiana compreendendo DHA e EPA deriva de um micro-organismo / micróbio do gênero Schizochytrium ou Thraustochytrium.
