Abstract
PROCESSO PARA MELHORAR O GRAU E A QUALIDADE ÃPTICA DO ZIRCÃO. A presente invenção se refere a um processo para melhorar o grau e a qualidade óptica do zircão, compreendendo: cozinhar uma mistura de uma alimentação de zircão e ácido sulfúrico concentrado a uma temperatura de cozimento na faixa de 200 a 400 °C, e por um tempo para formar sulfatos lixiviáveis com água com impurezas no mesmo, incluindo pelo menos ferro e titânio; lixiviar a mistura cozida para dissolver os sulfatos lixiviáveis; e separar o zircão dolixiviado contendo os sulfatos lixiviados, cujo zircão separado é, assim, de grau e qualidade óptica aprimorados.
