Abstract
Na presente invenção é fornecido é uma composição que inclui: (i) agen-te quelante (por exemplo, ácido etilenodiamino tetra-acético (EDTA)), (ii) sistema tampão (por exemplo, fosfato de potássio dibásico e hidróxido de sódio), (iii) agente de limpeza (por exemplo, éter monoetílico de dietilglicol) (iv) solubilizador (por exemplo, propileno glicol) e (v) diluente (por exemplo, água), em que a com-posição tem um pH de pelo menos cerca de 9,5. É também fornecido um método de limpeza de um dispositivo médico que inclui contatar o dispositivo médico com a composição descrita no presente documento, durante um período de tempo efe-tivo para limpar o dispositivo médico. Após a limpeza, o dispositivo médico pode, opcionalmente, ser desinfectado, seco e armazenado.
