Abstract
Um dispositivo de criopreservação de sistema fechado para vitrificação de espécimes biológicos inclui um corpo alongado de uma extremidade da qual se estende uma protuberância troncocônica e uma tampa alongada para fechar de forma vedável um espécime biológico com uma câmara oca alongada. A superfície interior da câmara define um volume troncocônico correspondente à saliência troncocônica, de modo que, quando a saliência é inserida na câmara, substancialmente toda a superfície interior está em contato com a superfície exterior da saliência. O dispositivo mais distante compreende um coeficiente de expansão térmica substancialmente uniforme.
