Abstract
A presente invenção se refere a um processo e a uma planta para a produção de álcoois graxos a partir de uma mistura reacional contendo pelo menos um éster de ácido graxo e pelo menos um ácido graxo livre, em que o pelo menos um éster de ácido graxo é hidrogenado com hidrogênio a pelo menos um álcool graxo, em que a hidrogenação é efetuada com um catalisador a uma temperatura entre 150 e 300 ºC e a uma pressão entre 50 e 250 bar, e em que o teor do pelo menos um ácido graxo livre na mistura reacional é reduzido antes da hidrogenação.
