A bolsa coletora pode ser utilizada em um dispositivo de ostomia e possui uma parte de tampa e uma parte expansível. A parte expansível é dobrada para dentro da parte de tampa com as superfícies exteriores situadas frente a frente. A parte de tampa dobra-se sobre si própria e envolve a parte expansível com as superfícies interiores situadas frente a frente. Um método para a produção de uma bolsa coletora é também proporcionado.
