Abstract
SISTEMAS E MÃTODOS PARA MELHORAR FUNÃÃO DE ÃRGÃO OU TECIDO E LONGEVIDADE DE TRANSPLANTE DE ÃRGÃO OU TECIDO. A presente invenção fornece sistemas e métodos para a terapia de CO inalado para prevenir, atenuar ou retardar processos que aceleram a perda de função de órgão ou tecido, desse modo aumentando a vida útil de órgãos ou tecidos transplantados, ou desacelerando o declÃnio de órgãos ou tecidos nativos, ou retardando a necessidade de substituição de órgãos nativos doentes por órgãos transplantados. Tais processos biológicos que são evitados, atenuados ou retardados incluem a inflamação persistente crônica, fibrose, cicatrização, bem como o ataque imunológico ou autoimune.
