Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e composições para identificar plantas de milho que têm tolerância recém-conferida ou tolerância aumentada a, ou são suscetíveis a, cercosporiose (GLS). Os métodos usam marcadores de genética molecular para identificar, selecionar e/ou construir plantas tolerantes ou identificar e contrasselecionar plantas suscetíveis. As plantas de milho que exibem tolerância recém-conferida ou tolerância aumentada à cercosporiose que são geradas pelos métodos também são apresentadas na invenção.
