Abstract
A presente invenção se refere a um método para se produzir, reprodutivelmente, grandes quantidades de transcriptase reversa de telomerase (TERT) solúvel e ativa ao expressar esta enzima em células de levedura. Um rendimento elevado de TERT ativa recombinante foi obtido através do controle de parâmetros específicos do processo de purificação. A proteína TERT assim obtida mostra atividade com TR transcrita in vitro, abrindo o caminho para o rastreamento com elevado rendimento químico de conjuntos de inibidores de telomerase e aplicações terapêuticas.
