RESUMODISPONIBILIZAÇÃO DE VISUALIZAÇÕES DE VÍDEO ADEQUADAS DURANTE OPERAÇÕES DE RETROCESSO E AVANÇO RÁPIDOA presente invenção refere-se ao download sob demanda de imagens de trick play (reprodução inteligente) durante o retrocesso ou avanço rápido de vídeo em streaming (fluxo contínuo). Uma imagem de trick play subsequente é seleciona-da e baixada com base na taxa de retrocesso ou avanço rápido e no ponto atual no vídeo. Para garantir tempo suficiente para o download, a imagem de trick play pode ser selecionada com uma resolução/qualidade específica com base em dados histó-ricos de temporização (por exemplo, uma média móvel) para se ajustar de forma adaptável a alterações da largura de banda da rede.
