Abstract
Métodos para avaliar a condição de estruturas queratinizadas, incluindo cabelo, emparticular métodos para determinar a condição de estruturas queratinizadas emrelação à adequabilidade para a análise de análitos de interesse em uma amostra deteste, são apresentados. Os métodos compreendem contatar a estruturaqueratinizada com um agente redutor não proteolítico e um agente proteolíticoopcional. Os métodos incluem ainda a inspeção da amostra de cabelo, ou mediçãoda proteína livre eluída da estrutura queratinizada, depois redução e proteóliseopcional para determinar a condição antes da identificação e quantificação do análitopelas técnicas tais como imunoensaios.
