Abstract
COMPOSIÇÕES FARMACÊUTICAS MICRONIZADASRESUMO DA DIVULGAÇÃOSão descritas aqui partículas de pó micronizadas do colistimetato sódico, em que pelo menos 50% em volume das partículas micronizadas têm um diâmetro de menos de 7 micrômetros mas não menos de 3 micrômetros e o pó tem um índice de umidade total de 5 a 10% em peso, para o uso no tratamento de uma infecção pulmonar por meio de inalação de pó, em que o colistimetato sódico não é separado na forma de componente. As partículas de pó micronizadas do colistimetato sódico são úteis no tratamento das infecções causadas pelas bactérias de gram-negativas, particularmente nos pacientes que sofrem de fibrose cística.
