Abstract
INIBIÃÃO DE ALVOS ANTIMICROBIANOS COM POTENCIAL REDUZIDO PARA RESISTÃNCIA. O pedido descreve métodos e alvos que podem inibir o crescimento bacteriano em bactérias Gram-positivas e Gram-negativas. Uma enzima bacteriana, 2-epimerase, é comum a ambas as bactérias Gram-positivas e Gram-negativas e contém um sÃtio alostérico que pode ser direcionado para interromper a enzima. O sÃtio alostérico está presente na 2-epimerase bacteriana, mas a enzima de mamÃfero análogo não contém o sÃtio alostérico, fornecendo uma rota para atacar infecções bacterianas, sem afetar a enzima do mamÃfero.
