A presente invenção refere-se a composições de cadinho e métodos para uso das composições de cadinho para fusão titânio e ligas de titânio. Mais especificamente, composições de cadinho que tem revestimento de face intrÃnseco que são eficazes para fundir titânio e ligas de titânio para uso em fundição de artigos que contém titânio. O cadinho (100) para fundir titânio e ligas de titânio compreende uma carga (200) que compreende um cimento de aluminato de cálcio, em que o dito cimento de aluminato de cálcio compreende mono-aluminato de cálcio; e uma cavidade (300) para fundir titânio e ligas de titânio na mesma.
