A invenção refere-se a N-(tetrazol-5-il)- e N-(triazol-5-il)arilcarboxamidas de fórmula (I) e ao uso das mesmas como herbicidas. Na dita fórmula (I), B representa N ou CH, enquanto que R, R1, R2, R3, R4 e R5 representam grupos como hidrogênio, halogênio ou grupos orgânicos como alquila ou fenila.
