A invenção refere-se a um agente protetor para a ceratoconjuntiva ou um agente supressor para um distúrbio ceratoconjuntival contendo glucosilglicerol como ingrediente ativo, uso de glucosilglicerol para a fabricação de um produto farmacêutico para proteger uma ceratoconjuntiva ou suprimir um distúrbio ceratoconjuntival e um método de proteção de uma ceratoconjuntiva ou supressão de um distúrbio ceratoconjuntival consistindo em administrar glucosilglicerol.
