Abstract
RESUMOCABO DE FIBRA ÓTICA E MÉTODO DE FABRICAÇÃO DE UM CABORevestimento de cabos (30) são formados por extrusão de descontinuidades (50) em uma porção de revestimento do cabo principal (55). As descontinuidades permitem que o revestimento seja rasgado para permitir o acesso ao núcleo do cabo (20). As descontinuidades podem ser tiras de material que se estendem longitudinalmente no revestimento do cabo, e podem ser introduzidas no fluxo de material extrudado utilizado para formar a parte principal através de aberturas na cabeça de extrusão. As descontinuidades permitem que uma seção do revestimento de cabo seja puxada para fora a partir de uma parte restante do revestimento, utilizando uma força relativamente baixa de descascamento.
