Abstract
Abstract An apparatus for performing phlebotomy through a peripheral intravenous line is described herein. The apparatus includes an introducer and a cannula and is configured to advance the cannula through a peripheral intravenous line. A y-adapter with a port of larger diameter is configured to receive the cannula to place the cannula in fluid communication with the peripheral intravenous line. When advanced, the cannula is configured to transport a bodily fluid to a volume outside of the body.TraduçãoRESUMOPatente de Invenção: "SISTEMAS E MÉTODOS PARA FLEBOTOMIA A-TRAVÉS DE UM CATETER INTRAVENOSO PERIFÉRICO".Trata-se de um aparelho para realizar flebotomia através de uma linha intravenosa periférica. O aparelho inclui um introdutor e uma cânula e é configurado para avançar a cânula através de uma linha intravenosa periféri-ca. Um adaptador em y com uma porta de diâmetro maior é configurado para receber a cânula para colocar a cânula em comunicação fluida com a linha intravenosa periférica. Quando avançada, a cânula é configurada para transportar um fluido corporal para um volume fora do corpo.
