Abstract
PROCESSO PARA MELHORAR A SELETIVIDADE DE UM CATALISADOR DE ÃXIDO DE ETILENOA presente invenção refere-se a um processo para melhorar a seletividade geral de um processo EO para converter etileno em oxido de etileno, utilizando um catalisador de prata altamente seletivo para EO, contendo um promotor de rênio, em que a operação normal de extração de cloreto na superfÃcie do catalisador é realizada de modo a remover uma parte dos cloretos na superfÃcie do catalisador. A remoção de cloreto envolve a adição de alguns hidrocarbonetos saturados à alimentação. Seguinte à remoção de cloreto, o catalisador é opcionalmente, re-otimizado.
