A presente invenção refere-se a uma composição para cuidados pessoais que compreende uma quantidade eficaz de uma piritiona ou um sal metálico polivalente de uma piritiona; uma quantidade eficaz de um quelador de ferro ou um material quelador de ferro; sendo que a combinação do quelador de ferro e a piritiona ou um sal metálico polivalente de uma piritiona tem uma concentração inibitória fracionada menor que ou igual a 1.
