COMPONENTE DE PRÃTESE COM SUPERFÃCIE DESLIZANTE REVESTIDA DE FORMA ANTIMICROBIANA. A invenção refere-se a um componente de prótese (11,23) de uma endoprótese de articulação. O componente de prótese (11,23) compreende uma superfÃcie deslizante (19,24) que é desenhada para formar uma articulação deslizante juntamente com uma superfÃcie deslizante correspondente (26) de um outro componente de prótese (11,23), De acordo com a invenção, a superfÃcie deslizante (19,24) é formada por um revestimento de superfÃcie deslizante (20) que é aplicado ao corpo do componente de prótese (10,22) onde o revestimento de superfÃcie deslizante (20) apresenta ação antimicrobiana. O revestimento de superfÃcie deslizante (20) de acordo com a invenção atua contra microrganismos na a´área da articulação deslizante.
