Abstract
PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR PARA-XILENO A PARTIR DE CORRENTES DE ALIMENTAÇÃO. Um complexo de aromáticos produzindo um ou mais isômeros de xileno oferece um número grande de oportunidades para conservar energia por troca de calor dentro do complexo. Uma oportunidade previamente desconhecida é a disposição de duas colunas de destilação paralelas operando em pressões diferentes para separar aromáticos C~ 8~ de aromáticos C~ 9~+. As colunas paralelas oferecem oportunidades adicionais para conservar energia dentro do complexo por meio de troca de calor em instalações de recuperação de xileno associadas.
