O produto nutricional ou barra nutricional é fabricado utilizado ultrassom de alta potência em combinação com um processo de extrusão ou processo de colocação em placas.Foi descoberto que utilizando ultrassom de alta potência durante o processo de fabricação de produtos nutricionais e barras nutricionais, tal produto resultante tem vida de de prateleira aumentada e textura aperfeiçoada. Em algumas modalidades, as barras nutricionais incluem uma matriz crocante sólida.
