COMPOSIÇÃO CONFERIDO CAPACIDADE PROTETORA DE UV, USO DA COMPOSIÇÃO, MÉTODO DE ATENUAR OS EFEITOS DE LUZ UV SOBRE UM SUBSTRATO EXPOSTO A RADIAÇÃO SOLAR,E, SUBSTRATO REVESTIDO COM, OU FORMADO POR UMA COMPOSIÇÃO.A invenção fornece uma composição que confere capacidade protetora UV compreendendo um material particulado revestido de efeito substancialmente no hábito cristalino do rutilo e com um tamanho de partícula médio maior ou igual a cerca de 0,5 disperso em um meio a uma concentração em uma faixa de cerca de 1 % em volume e cerca 40 % em volume, com base no volume total da composição. A composição pode ser colorida ou não colorida e aplicada em uma ou mais superfícies de um substrato para prover proteção de luz UV sem também aumentar os efeitos fotocatalíticos ativados por luz UV que são geralmente observados.
