Abstract
MÃTODO PARA PROCESSAR UMA BIOMASSA LIGNOCELULÃSICA QUE INCLUI FRAÃÃES DE CELULOSE, HEMICELULOSE E LIGNINA. Trata-se de um método para produzir açúcares com o uso de uma combinação de ácidos para hidrolisar materiais hemicelulósicos e celulósicos em biomassa, sendo que a dita combinação de ácidos compreende um primeiro ácido orgânico fraco (tal como ácido ascético ou ácido fórmico) para fornecer um produto ou fluxo de pentose a partir da hidrólise de materiais hemicelulósicos na biomassa em uma base de batelada contÃnua ou semicontÃnua, e um segundo ácido mineral forte (tal como ácido sulfúrico) para fornecer um fluxo ou produto de hexose a partir da hidrólise de materiais celulósicos na biomassa.
