A presente invenção refere-se a um método para redução de estresse pela temperatura em plantas o qual compreende aplicação de uma quantidade eficaz de um ou mais compostos selecionados do grupo consistindo de um composto representado pela fórmula (I) e um sal agricolamente aceitável do mesmo a uma planta que tenha sido exposta ou será exposta a um fator de estresse pela temperatura; e assim por diante.
