A invenção refere-se às composições de gel autoaderentes e resistentes à água capazes de trazer um benefício ou efeito em seu ambiente adjacente ao difundir uma substância volátil ativa. As composições são sistemas eficazes de liberação volátil em ambos os ambientes secos e úmidos e são capazes de aderir-se a uma superfície à qua são aplicadas. Elas podem ser usadas em uma variedade de aplicações, como géis com fragrância autocontidos ou nos produtos ao consumidor.
