Abstract
FORMULAÇÕES NASAIS, DE FERIDA E DE PELE E MÉTODOS PARA CONTROLE DE STAPHYLOCOCCI E OUTRAS BACTÉRIAS GRAM-POSITIVAS RESISTENTES A ANTIBIÓTICO. A presente invenção refere-se a formulações e métodos que são revelados que são eficazes para matar ou controlar bactérias nas narinas incluindo cepas de bactérias gram-positivas de S. aureus que são resistentes a antibióticos (MRSA - Staphylococcus aureus resistente à meticilina). Uma composição preferencial compreende um ou mais alcoóis de cadeia média (dodecanol), monoésteres de glicerol (monocaprilato de glicerol ou média (dodecanol), monoésteres de glicerol (monocaprilato de glicerol ou monolaurato de glicerol) e/ou ácido benzoico ou análogo de ácido benzoico, em um carreador farmacêutico apropriado, preferencialmente um unguento, juntamente com um composto aromatizante, preferencialmente óleo de eucalipto. As formulações e variações da formulação também podem ser usadas em ferimentos abertos ou lesões bem como em pele intacta.
