A presente tecnologia trata de uma proteína quimérica recombinante baseada na fusão de múltiplos epítopos lineares de linfócitos T CD4+ e CD8+ de cinco proteínas hipotéticas identificadas em um estudo de imunoproteomica dos parasitos L. infantum, para compor, juntamente com o adjuvante MPLA, uma formulação vacinal contra a leishmanioses visceral canina. Trata também de um gene codificador para a proteína quimérica recombinante e de seu uso para produzir composições imunogênicas.
