MÉTODO DE DETECÇÃO AUTOMÁTICA DE FALHAS EM MOTORES A COMBUSTÃO INTERNA ATRAVÉS DO SOM.A presente invenção descreve um método para detecção de falhas em motores, preferencialmente motores a combustão interna, utilizando para isto o som que tais máquinas emitem durante seu funcionamento. Motores emitem um som característico enquanto operam e, quando algum de seus componentes falha ou não está funcionando adequadamente, muitas vezes esse som característico é alterado, tornando-se perceptível inclusive ao ouvido humano. O método proposto aplica técnicas de inteligência artificial para que a detecção de tais falhas possa ser feita de maneira automática, empregando preferencialmente um smartphone como dispositivo de captura.
