A tecnologia trata de uma proteína quimérica recombinante (rTC1), construída por epítopos triados por bioinformática com atividade antigênica. Trata ainda de ácidos nucleicos e um método utilizando tal proteína quimérica, para o diagnóstico a partir de amostras fisiológicas para identificar pacientes que já tiveram contato com o Trypanosoma cruzi.
