LIGA DE LATÃO. A liga de latão da invenção, particularmente mas não exclusivamente adequada à produção de cadeados de segurança, compreende: 50 a 56 % de cobre (Cu); 2,0 a 3,5% de chumbo(Pb); 0,1 a 1,0% de alumínio (Al); e o restante de zinco (Zn) e ainda, preferivelmente, ferro (Fe), níquel (Ni), silício (Si); e manganês (Mn) em uma quantidade igual ou menor que 1,0% da composição total da liga e ainda, opcionalmente, fósforo (P); estanho (Sn); telúrio (Te); cádmio (Cd); antimônio (Sb); e prata (Ag) em quantidade total igual ou inferior a 0,35% da composição da liga.
