USO DE NANOPARTÍCULAS DE OURO NA PREPARAÇÃO DE UM MEDICAMENTO PARA A PREVENÇÃO E/OU TRATAMENTO DA DEPRESSÃO INDUZIDA POR UM EPISÓDIO DE ENCEFALOPATIA SÉPTICA. A presente invenção se refere ao uso de nanopartículas de ouro na preparação de um medicamento para a prevenção e/ou tratamento da depressão induzida por um episódio de encefalopatia séptica. Verificou-se por meio dos testes aqui apresentados que o uso das nanopartículas de ouro revestidas com citrato, compreendendo vinte nanômetros de diâmetro médio, reduziu os efeitos neurocomportamentais depressivos associados à encefalopatia séptica.
