A presente invenção revela um método para a biossíntese de nanopartículas de ouro a partir do caldo de fermentação (extrato) produzido pelas fitobactérias endofíticas Paenibacillus polymyxa e Paenibacillus terrae, isoladas a partir de plantas do Cerrado de São Carlos e que fazem parte da coleção de culturas do LaMiB® (Laboratório de Microbiologia e Biomoléculas) da UFSCar.
