A presente invenção descreve a construção e otimização de um gene sintético da proteína NS2B de Zika virus, assim como as etapas para sua expressão e purificação a partir de sistema vegetal. A invenção descreve ainda a utilização dessa proteína como substrato para a produção de derivados imunobiológicos a serem empregados, isolados ou associados à proteína em questão, em imunoensaios para fins de diagnóstico.
