A presente invenção descreve um processo de encapsulação de N,N-dimetil-meta-toluamida, bem como as partículas poliméricas obtidas, as quais apresentam potencial para serem aplicadas em tecidos. Ainda, estas podem ser utilizadas na forma de uma dispersão polimérica, cuja aplicação por aspersão em paredes próximas a portas e janelas evitaria a entrada de mosquitos em ambientes fechados durante determinado tempo.
