Abstract
A presente invenção refere-se à formulação moluscicida cujo princípio ativo é o óleo essencial de Hyptis pectinata (L) Poit que apresenta atividade significativa em concentrações permitidas pela Organização Mundial da Saúde (abaixo de 100 ppm) sobre moluscos Biomphalaria glabrata (Say, 1818), proporcionando assim uma alternativa para a prevenção da esquistossomose. Trata-se de um composto natural de baixa toxicidade a biodiversidade local.
