Trata-se a presente invenção de um polipeptídeo quimérico e o seu gene quimérico codificante, compostos pela fusão de fragmentos de sequências oriundas de Arabidopsis thaliana e Solanum tuberosum e que possibilitarão a produção de plantas transgênicas, as quais terão o sistema de defesa inato melhorado para resistir aos fitopatógenos, permitindo o controle racional e efetivo contra os invasores em agricultura.
