Sua função é gerar eletricidade usando ímãs permanentes que fazem levitar uma turbina e a seção do rotor (eixo) de um gerador de eletricidade, também fabricado com ímãs magnéticos. Desta forma se neutralizam as forças de gravidade e a fricção.
