Abstract
Conhecendo o perfil de ácidos graxos dos óleos de soja, canola, linhaça e oliva, foram desenvolvidos suplementos alimentares com relação entre os ômegas 3:6 que proporcionam modificações na resposta metabólica quanto à utilização dos lipídios presentes na corrente sanguínea. Assim, a partir do estudo realizado com a combinação de 15% a 35% de óleo de soja, 8% a 16% de óleo de linhaça, 6% a 18% de óleo de oliva e 32% a 64% de óleo de canola, com relação de ômegas 3:6 menor que 2,5, foi observada a redução do colesterol LDL (relacionado ao surgimento de doenças cardiovasculares) e o aumento do HDL (relacionado à prevenção de surgimento de doenças cardiovasculares).
