Abstract
A presente invenção é um equipamento capaz de detectar regiões com tumores ou neoplasias sem utilizar radiação ionizante. Este equipamento utiliza uma onda térmica no emissor e mede a temperatura em diversos pontos. Através da solução de um problema inverso se estima a geração de calor metabólico e/ou a perfusão sanguínea. Como resultado, uma imagem bidimensional da seção sob teste é reconstruída utilizando técnicas de tomografia. A intensidade desse indicador, apresentada através de uma paleta de cores, auxilia o médico no diagnóstico do tumor ou neoplasia.
