A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo de eletrodo neutro para uso na aplicação de uma corrente RF a um tecido biológico compreendendo:- uma estrutura suporte (40) tendo primeiro e segundo lados; - pelo menos um eletrodo (34, 34'), que é arranjado no primeiro lado da estrutura suporte (40); - um material de mudança de fase (PCM) para absorver calor, que é arranjado no segundo lado da estrutura suporte (40), sendo que o material de mudança de fase é formado, pelo menos, em parte como blocos (37, 37') e os blocos (37, 37') sendo arranjados no segundo lado da estrutura suporte (40) pelo menos parcialmente distanciados entre si para formar espaços de espaçamento (38, 38').
