A presente invenção refere-se a um método e um sistema para identificação de combustível em uma linha de combustível de um motor de combustão, por meio dos quais a pressão na linha de com-bustível é monitorada por meio de um sensor de pressão (1) quando o combustível é aquecido, e a composição do combustível é identificada com base no comportamento da queda de pressão na linha de com-bustível.
